Elakumari was appointed to the Board of Directors of FGB on 22 October 2001 and also a Member of the Audit and Risk Committee of FGB.

Elakumari currently holds the position of Director in the Investment Division in Khazanah. She started her career in the Accountant General’s Department and served in various senior positions in the Ministry of Finance. She holds a Master of Science in Finance and Accounting from the University of East Anglia, UK and a Bachelor of Accounting from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. She is a Member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants.

Her directorships in other public companies include TIME dotCom Berhad and TIME Engineering Berhad.

Elakumari does not have any family relationship with any Director and/or major shareholder of FGB. She does not have any conflict of interest with FGB. She has no convictions for any offences within the past 10 years other than traffic offences, if any.
